April Markowski knows what our broad base of clients need, and it’s simply to be heard. As the Director of Sales and Operations, April is armed with an impressive real estate sales career and a deep understanding of contracts and the backend process. But, beyond her extensive experience, what makes her a sound leader is her natural ability to connect with all people and develop rapport with the community of clients we serve across Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. “Everyone deserves to be heard and understood, whether it's the custodian cleaning the restrooms or a client selling a multi-million dollar home,” says April, who joined the Pearl Realty band in 2016. “I think a good leader needs to be kind and fair in all relationships, firm and thoughtful in all decision making.” The band is what Pearl Realty’s cohesive, tight-knit group affectionately calls each other. There isn’t just one star or lead singer, but it’s all the members that make this band jive. Every person plays a role and this model is what April understands so well. “Our brokerage is unlike any other, by design,” says April. “I like to say we're tiny but mighty even though our sales are proven to be the top in our market.” Before leading the team April solely sold real estate. April joined Pearl Realty in 2016 as a transaction coordinator following her career in the title industry, but she quickly advanced into sales. In fact, in April’s first six months as an agent her sales hit $15 million. Fast forward 5 years and in 2021 alone April has sold an incredible $37 million in real estate – setting record residential sales in Spokane, Hayden Lake, Spirit Lake and Rathdrum. Now, as Pearl Realty’s Sales and Operations Director, April uses the same relational approach to lead the band and build lasting relationships with our clients. “I feel so blessed, excited and honored to lead at Pearl Realty and walk side-by-side with the most incredible, honorable and talented team in Northern Idaho,” she says. At home, April and her husband, Dan, have a lot of fun adventuring with their four grown children and two fur babies – a Newfypoo and Sheepadoodle. Together, they enjoy traveling, boating on Lake Pend Oreille, playing cards with friends and watching the Zags. Go Gonzaga, G-O-N-Z-A-G-A!
